This review is months overdue, which is no indication on how much I enjoyed this book. If you have read my other reviews of the Sinners on Tour series, you would know that I am a huge Trey fan. I was thrilled to finally get to see the threesome of Trey, Reagan, and Ethan find their happily ever after. Based on the characters state of distress and lack of comfort with their sexuality, the majority of this book focuses on Reagan and Ethan. Each of them had to trudge uphill to openly embrace their relationships. I enjoyed the story but would have liked it more if Trey was more of the focus. Also, I didn’t think the ending was befitting the characters. While I savored the story, I was a bit disappointed. Nonetheless, I still would categorize this as a MUST READ book for fans of the series.

Why review two books in one post? Easy – as soon as I finished the first book, I couldn’t stop reading and had to read the next. I mean that literally. As soon as I finished A Gift to Remember, I fumbled with my kindle app. My finger shook with anticipation. I cursed every millisecond that it took my app to load my library. I frantically scanned my page searching for where previously downloaded Another Gift to Remember. I eagerly touched on the image of the cover. Ah … page 1.
The blurbs and the covers make the plot crystal clear.
The story is hot, considerate, and loving – A GUARANTEED PLEASURE TO READ.
Although the stories are on the short side, I still felt like I got to know the characters. The characters themselves had history so the story revolves a change in dynamics rather than getting to know one another. It was also great that this wasn’t just another insta-love story. I loved how everyone’s needs were able to be satisfied.
The ratio of story to sex scenes was perfect. The pace and lure of the story kept me turning the pages quickly. The steamy scenes made my blood boil, heart race, and a few other bodily reactions that aren’t appropriate for discussion on a PG13 blog.
I will be gifting this book combo to all my closest friends for the holidays this year.

A really well paced and structured story. I loved how the relationship between Krissy, Rafe, and Mikey develops. Some stories go from 0 to 60 in seconds and leave the reader thinking that the transition was too simplistic. This story takes more of a dipping the toe in the water approach. The story gives the virgin a little bit of chance to get used to the water.
The threesome aspect offers a few different homophobic reactions of the religious nature. While the issues may be maddening, the story emphasizes the strength of the characters and their triumphs. In the end, I came to respect the characters more than feel sorry for them.
I might have been able to rate the book higher, if the main character’s name wasn’t Mikey. Honestly, that name doesn’t ever belong in a romance novel. Names are critical to a story. The only image in my head that the name Mikey conjures is that of a young adolescent boy.
This is the third book in the series. I hadn’t read the first two books, but had no problem jumping into this story. After reading this one, I would like to go back and read the first two in the series.

As per usual in the awesome series, the entire cast makes a significant presence in the story.

The premise of this book is sensationally unique. It was an outstanding blend of suspense and sexual heat.
Holy Hades HOT! This is my first F/F/M novel. The steamy scenes are blooding boiling hot.
The crime part was fairly well constructed. I liked that there were a number of side characters that made the story more complicated. However, too many clues foreshadowed the end. I would have liked more surprise.
The book also had a number of other elements that I respected:
- It seems like in any LGBT book, some homophobic element is always included. (perhaps one day it will be a non issue) I liked that it was restricted to the perspective of an older generation.
- This is a multi-racial book that doesn’t follow all the traditional stereotypes.

Laurell K. Hamilton – Jason (audio book)
This is the #23 in the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Series.
I originally read this book in December 2014 and just recently listened to the audiobook. As discussed below – the story is great. The audio book is fantastic, too. The voice of Anita is spot on. An added bonus for the audio book – I was able to multi-task while listening to book.
While the Anita Blake series is usually very high on the paranormal side, this particular book is not. It’s more like an insight into the polyamorous lifestyle. Or as Jason said in the book, “It’s like a lesbian tutorial.”
For those of you who have not read the series, Anita Blake is an incredibly strong female character and I don’t mean her paranormal or metaphysical strength. She is incredibly brave. She sees no other options than facing her fears. In Jason, it is surprising to learn that some things can still make her blush. Read Jason, and find out what could possibly make Anita be unsure of herself in a bedroom setting. In the book, Anita says, “I was so far outside my comfort zone I couldn’t see it from the shore anymore. I felt lost at sea, but determined to weather the storm, even if it was a storm formed of soft flesh and silk.”
While Jason is usually a jokester, he pushes Anita to answer difficult questions. “Are you really willing to spend the rest of your life trying to date someone you not only don’t love, but that you actually don’t enjoy having sex with?”
This is an awesome series! Even if paranormal romance is not your thing, READ this book.
