Did you know that January 8 is National English Toffee Day? http://baking.about.com/od/seasonaldesserts/tp/January-National-Dessert-Days.htm
This is a great combo – toffee, chocolate, and walnuts. It’s like a hat trick of desserts.

This is the 1st in the Brown Family series. I rarely make time to re-read books, but this was either the second or third time I’ve read this book. The series is phenomenal! I want to be adopted into the Brown Family. Each story is crazy exceptional. There’s nothing that gets old about these stories. These are a must purchase, but do not lend to a friend unless they sign a contract that they will return the book to you.
Laid Bare starts off the series with a bang, making you feel raw and exposed.
[Todd] “You’re bad for my self-control, Erin. You make me want things I should’t want.”
…
[Erin] “Or maybe I make you want things you’ve always wanted and only now have a safe place to express them,” she challenged. “Why shouldn’t you want them? Why shouldn’t you get off on what gets you off?”
In addition, to some wild hot scenes, Lauren Dane draws out the reader’s appreciation for true love and acceptance.
Also, check out the spin-off series: Delicious (Sway, Tart, Lush)
Great name for the series because each story is sinfully delicious. This is an awesome extension from the Brown family, but great as a stand alone series too. The friendship between all the women in this series can seriously make a person jealous.

Think you need to hide when reading erotic romance novels? Worry that the person next to you on a plane is reading over your shoulder? Well, get over it! It doesn’t matter where you read. Just enjoy what you’re reading. Where do you like to read?
Cold days require comfort foods. The windchill today is -22. Nothing says comfort food more than warm chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. No, they are not fancy, but not all desserts have to be a culinary masterpiece. Sometimes, just good old traditional cookies do the trick. It’s all about the love in the tummy.
This is the 1st book in the Promise Harbor Wedding Series. The next books in the series are written by other authors.
Sometimes dating and life choices are put into a difficult balance. And sometimes you just have to make a leap of faith and choose the man over a career. Of course, if he is absolutely incredible in bed, like Josh, the choice should be easy. Did I mention that he is a fireman?
Be prepared when you read this book, you should have a bottle of Zinfindel on hand! And a hot guy.

This is the the 3rd in the Stage Dive Series.
Unrequited love is a bitch! If you have ever been in that position, enough said. If not, kudos to you.
Lena signs on to look after Jimmy and make sure that he stays sober. Lena is a quick-lipped character with enough chutzpah to stand up to the famous rock star. He’s an irritable handful – only being 6 months sober and going on a self-imposed celibacy stint. He also had a very rough upbringing that makes it nearly impossible for him to recognize love. David, Jimmy’s brother, begs Lena to forgive Jimmy’s screw-ups.
“Don’t break his heart, Lena. Fuck, he barely even knows he has one, but he does. And it’s actually a really good one. Just give him a chance to figure out what to do with it, please?”
Kylie Scott’s words reach out and pierce the heart as Lena admits that she has feelings for Jimmy, but knows she has to leave him to save herself.

This is the 3rd in the Hacker Series. This book is less about the business and tangential mysteries and more about Blake and Erica’s relationship.
The book is scorchingly hot from beginning to end. Hell, the book starts out with the following text exchange:
E: I’m in a meeting. I’ll call you after.
B: I want you naked in my bed by the time I get home. You should leave soon.
E: I need more time.
B: I’ll be inside you within the hour. Your office, our bed, your choice. Wrap it up.
Read the book and find out how Blake deliciously punishes Erica for her tardiness.
Blake fully steps into the role as Dominant. Blake demands Erica’s full submission. He claims that,
“… this isn’t what I want. This what I need. It’s what we need.”
Blake is fully prepared to take matters into his own hands and deny Erica until she is willing to submit. Is loving Blake enough to concede giving up every last piece of herself that is so important to her?

This is the #23 in the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Series
While the Anita Blake series is usually very high on the paranormal side, this particular book is not. It’s more like an insight into the polyamorous lifestyle. Or as Jason said in the book, “It’s like a lesbian tutorial.”
For those of you who have not read the series, Anita Blake is an incredibly strong female character and I don’t mean her paranormal or metaphysical strength. She is incredibly brave. She sees no other options than facing her fears. In Jason, it is surprising to learn that some things can still make her blush. Read Jason, and find out what could possibly make Anita be unsure of herself in a bedroom setting. In the book, Anita says, “I was so far outside my comfort zone I couldn’t see it from the shore anymore. I felt lost at sea, but determined to weather the storm, even if it was a storm formed of soft flesh and silk.”
While Jason is usually a jokester, he pushes Anita to answer difficult questions. “Are you really willing to spend the rest of your life trying to date someone you not only don’t love, but that you actually don’t enjoy having sex with?”
This is an awesome series! Even if paranormal romance is not your thing, READ this book.
This is the Rough Riders book 9, but it takes place between book 7 (Shoulda Been a Cowboy) and book 8 (All Jacked Up).
Is the fact that Kane was a complete man-slut in his past a bad thing? Not for the lucky recipient of all of his experience. Ginger is the fortunate winner of Kane’s affection. Damn lucky!
In Raising Kane, Kane has reformed his wild ways. He’s a responsible contributor to the family farm, caring uncle, and great mentor in the Little Buddies community program.
He might have refined his behaviors, but don’t get me wrong – he’s all dominant hot cowboy! Much of the story takes place during the winter blizzard months, but this book sizzles! Ginger and Kane’s lunch date nooners, make me think I definitely need to change my diet.

This is the 6th book in the Original Sinners Series and the 2nd book in the White Years quartet.
Kingsley is now my favorite Original Sinner. I love the contrary aspects of his character. To the general public, he is incredibly self-indulgent, but yet he isn’t selfish. He goes to great lengths to provide for and assist those that he cares about. He is well-educated, but acknowledges his ignorance in comparison to Soren. He is physically strong, but yet he is still vulnerable. He is unrepentant but respects certain aspects of the church. He is protective, but can viscously attack when provoked. Finally, I like how Kingsley draws decisive lines between right and wrong.
My absolute favorite (non-spoiler) part of the book was when Kingsley is speaking with Reverend Fuller’s assistant, Chastity. Kingsley’s use of double entendre is hysterically amusing (and of course fitting for the 1/2 Frenchman).

The next in the series is “The Virgin” to be released on March 31, 2015.
