Here’s what I tried: chocolate hazelnut, Fruit Loops, Lindt truffle with caramel, Apple Jacks, and blackberry ice cream. The winner was Lindt truffle with caramel. All my taste testers enjoyed themselves and are looking forward to more samples throughout the month.

The thrill of seeing my book was mixed with great anxiety. The box arrived in terrible shape. Not only were the corners crumbled, but there were gaping holes. I crossed my fingers and prayed that the books weren’t damaged. I slid the blade of the scissors carefully across the tape lines. One side of the box fell open. Relief! The books survived the shipping.
