LET’S BE REAL … publicly DNFing a book is like saying, ‘I hate this book,’ even if that’s not the full story. Posting a DNF carries a more negative tone than the personal decision itself.
There are legitimate and unfair reasons for leaving book reviews stating DNFing a book.
Here’s a personal example from this past weekend:
I started reading ACOTAR, but an early scene involving harm to an animal triggered me after the recent loss of my dog, so I stopped. This is a ME issue, not the book’s fault. Would I leave a review saying I DNFed it? NO! It’s not fair to the author. (Not that my review would impact this popular book, but the principle stands.) I will probably revisit the book later.
This combo of cinnamon ice cream submerged in hot chocolate and topped with whipped cream is sensational.
I didn’t know what to call it, so I tried to find it online, but couldn’t.
Previously, I made a video with ube ice cream and coffee. This resembled an affogato, a popular dessert consisting of “a scoop of vanilla gelato or ice cream topped with a shot of hot espresso.”
Affogato translates to “drowned” in Italian
Should I have called this an affogato too?
Then I compared this drink to a root beer float made of “just two ingredients: root beer, and ice cream.”
And that’s when I saw it!
After pouring the hot chocolate on top of the ice cream, the ice cream scoop floated to the top!

What’s the difference between Polyamory and Polygamy?
I was recently asked this question. As I write about loving polyamorous relationships in my novels, I want to be explicitly clear:
MY NOVELS CONTAIN ONLY LOVING RELATIONSHIPS. THERE IS NO COERCION OR ABUSE. AND THERE IS ALWAYS A HAPPILY EVER AFTER.
Note:
If a polygamous relationship involves consent, honesty, and equal autonomy among all partners, without fraud, abuse, or coercion, it can share many characteristics with polyamory. In such cases, the main difference becomes primarily legal and cultural rather than relational.
