Love spicy books about hot strong men?
Must read Samantha Cole’s Trident Security Series

Leather and Lace (Trident Security Book 1) Review

This book is like a delicious dessert recipe with just the right combination of ingredients. It features a “sexy six-pack” of well-built ex-Navy SEALs. Devon, who comes from a wealthy background, doesn’t flaunt it, act superior because of it, or use it to manipulate Kristen. He owns a sex club and is a skilled Dominant. I love how he humorously refers to Kristen’s ex-husband with an assortment of derogatory names like “goat fucker.” But Devon’s best quality is his ability to help Kristen forget her unpleasant sexual history and guide her in discovering true pleasure. The sex scenes are hot! Devon also has an edge that makes him come across as thoughtful rather than simply domineering.

Kristen is a relatable character—she’s a fan of romance novels. She says, “Too bad life wasn’t a steamy romance novel with a hot and hunky hero knocking on her door.” Who hasn’t thought that at one time or another?

Finally, the crime/suspense storyline didn’t detract from the romance. It left me wanting to know Carter better, and I’m hoping to learn more about him as the series progresses.

5-star read! This book cranks up the angst and struggle way beyond what we saw in Priest, and I was hooked! The MC’s journey had my heart in overdrive, making their triumph and HEA that much sweeter!

Admittedly, I read this book out of order in the series. Oops, my bad. I’m currently reading Sinner, #2 in the series.

Love isn’t always tied up in a monogamous bow.

This book will have you looking at love in a new light.

Cured My Reading Slump

Jesus H. Christ! and Holy Mary, Mother of God! Sorry if these phrases offend you, but if they do – don’t read this series. If not, HOLY BD$M on crack! Want a book that doesn’t just cross the lines, but goes so far past it that the line does’t even exist?

I finally read The Priest (Book #9) Just when I thought the series couldn’t get any better, the author tosses in a witch and a brief vampire appearance. I love how Soren looks back at the past to question himself.

Best Debut Author I have ever read

Dandelion wishes. Grains of sand. Shooting stars. Butterfly kisses.

Murder and mothballs. Carnage and blood.

Black leather gloves and too many lilies.

Time can swallow her whole, and it’s almost up.

WELLS

She’s my mission. My prize. My obsession.

Ivy Kingston is the most wanted woman in the world for reasons she is completely oblivious to, reasons I intend to capitalize on.

She needs a husband to receive her inheritance, so I’m on the hunt for a wife. As long as it’s her.

I’m not who she thinks I am.

But she has no idea who she really is either.

I’ll be her groom. Her keeper. Her lover.

And quite possibly her demise.

IVY

People often underestimate me.

They shouldn’t.

Gavin Wells is dreamy and delicious. Dark and mysterious. His world is exactly where I want to be.

But he’s got me in a chokehold of smoke and mirrors.

Someone should have warned him that burning ivy releases toxic spores.

Because I’m the spark who can reduce him to ashes.

This debut author nails it!

It is not a question of whether or not to read this book. It is a must-read for dark romance readers. The only question is…do you read it quickly or savor it slowly?

This book ticked off all of my boxes:

Characters…tick
The author skillfully employed a dual point of view, which I found to be a brilliant narrative choice. Exploring the characters’ growth throughout the story was truly enjoyable. The secondary characters not only enhanced our understanding of the main characters but also possessed distinct traits that added depth to the narrative.

Pace…tick
I like a fast-paced story. The story maintained a rapid pace, keeping the reader engaged. Despite the abundance of details, the narrative remained easily digestible, striking a balance that ensured it never felt overwhelming. The entertainment value remained consistent from start to finish.

Heat…tick
Scintillating! I could feel the passion and desire in each intimate scene.

Heartache…tick
Happy endings are more satisfying when the characters endure heartache along the way.

Twist…tick
Nothing makes me happier than reading a realistic yet unexpected twist. This was one of the greatest twists that I have read in a long time.
