Rainbow Ice Cream

Celebrating Pride Month, scoop by scoop.

This rainbow ice cream isn’t just a sweet treat. It’s a swirl of pride, joy, and solidarity.

Because being an ally means showing up loudly, lovingly, and sometimes with sprinkles on top.

Note: Using a frozen marshmallow as the outside of an ice cream sandwich was a new, delicious dessert idea.

Happy Pride Month!

Hot Chocolate Float – did you see it?

This combo of cinnamon ice cream submerged in hot chocolate and topped with whipped cream is sensational.

I didn’t know what to call it, so I tried to find it online, but couldn’t.

Previously, I made a video with ube ice cream and coffee. This resembled an affogato, a popular dessert consisting of “a scoop of vanilla gelato or ice cream topped with a shot of hot espresso.”

Affogato translates to “drowned” in Italian

Should I have called this an affogato too?

Then I compared this drink to a root beer float made of “just two ingredients: root beer, and ice cream.”

And that’s when I saw it!

After pouring the hot chocolate on top of the ice cream, the ice cream scoop floated to the top!

Try it for yourself. This is a delicious combination.

Salted-Candy Popcorn

I asked what snacks you love while reading — sweet & salty won! So I whipped up candy popcorn with a twist: real salted popcorn for that perfect sweet-salty combo!

Easy to make:
Need 3 batches of air-popped corn (1 cup kernels)
Boil (2 c supar, 1/2 c water, 1 TBSP butter) for 3 min on medium
Add food color (I separated into 3 bowls for more colors)
Pour over popcorn and mix QUICKLY
Sprinkle with salt
